The signifigance I learned from the interveriews during the the Great Depression was that times were hard for nearly everyone during the Great Depression. An example, is Mr. Garavelli, Stonecutter (you can listen or read his interview here). He talked about people who had jobs in the factory and died from silica, this shows that the conditions were not very good if people died very often. Also the people who worked their probably couldn't quit to get another job either because during the Great Depression unemployment was high and they were probably lucky to even have a job, which is probably people why people kept coming in to the factory even though of the conditions.
